SAN ANGELO, Texas — A San Angelo Independent School District second-grade teacher won the Lifetime Achievement Award at the H-E-B Excellence in Education Teacher Award ceremony Sunday in Houston.
Veronica Stapper, who teaches at Glenmore Elementary School, has been an educator for more than 20 years.
As a finalist, Stapper previously received a check for $1,000 and a $1,000 grant for Glenmore. She competed against four other Texas teachers for the title of 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award winner.
For her win, Stapper gets $25,000 cash and a $25,000 grant for Glenmore.
