SAN ANGELO, Texas — The driver of a Mazda 2 traveling south on North Chadbourne Street was driving in the northbound lanes Wednesday afternoon and hit a Chevrolet pickup truck trying to turn right from East 27th Street onto Chadbourne.
"As the truck turned, the units collided," San Angelo Police Department Officer Long said at the scene. "At this time, it is unknown why the vehicle was driving southbound in the northbound lanes."
A woman who was a passenger in the Mazda was taken by ambulance to Shannon Medical Center for treatment. Her injuries were unknown at the time, Long said.
The driver of the Mazda was issued a citation for driving on the left, Long said.
