SAN ANGELO, Texas — It has been a chilly Wednesday across West Texas. Afternoon temperatures range from the upper 40s to middle 50s throughout the area. Winds are out of the northwest at about 15-20 mph.
Wednesday evening, temperatures will fall quickly after sunset. Northwest winds will bring in dry and chilly air to the region.
Overnight temperatures will fall into the middle 20s across much of West Texas, well below freezing.
With a northwesterly wind, wind chills early Thursday will be in the upper teens to lower 20s. Make sure to bundle in layers if outside during the early morning hours.
Another morning with sub-freezing temperatures likely Friday. However, a slight warmup is expected into the coming weekend and next week, with seasonal temperatures returning to the forecast.
