San Angelo Fire Dept. responds to house fire Friday evening

The house was unoccupied at the time of the fire, according to the San Angelo Fire Department.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — The San Angelo Fire Department responded to a house fire Friday evening on the 1100 block of Koberlin Street.

According to Captain Wells, acting battalion chief, the San Angelo Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire.

"There were three trucks come in, engine three was first on scene," Wells said.

The fire was put out within minutes according to the SAFD and the house was unoccupied at the time of the fire. 

"We believe they are out of town," Wells said.

Koberlin Street was blocked from North Baze to North Cecil streets by San Angelo Police officers while SAFD put out the fire and investigated its cause.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the fire marshall and information will be updated as it is received.
