COVID-19-related deaths surpass 200 in Taylor Co.

One-hundred-one new confirmed COVID-19 cases were included in the report.

ABILENE, Taylor County — The Abilene-Taylor County Health District confirmed four additional COVID-19-related deaths in Taylor County Thursday.

The new deaths bring the total number of COVID-19-related deaths in Taylor County to 203.

The patients were:

  • a woman in her 70s
  • a man in his 80s
  • a man in his 70s with pre-existing health conditions
  • a man in his 70s with pre-existing health conditions

No other information about the 70-year-old woman and 80-year-old man was available at the time of the release.

The health district reported 101 new confirmed COVID-19 cases - 44 PCR and 57 antigen.

There were also 118 recoveries reported, bringing the total number of recoveries to 8,785.

One-hundred-twenty-four total hospitalizations were included in the report.

Taylor County has administered 41,133 PCR and 52,924 antigen tests. Of those tests, 5,023 PCR and 6,163 antigen tests were confirmed cases.

Additionally, 36,110 negative PCR and 46,761 negative antigen test results reported.
