NOLAN COUNTY, Texas — Nolan County drivers may experience detours Tuesday as main lanes of Interstate 20 eastbound near Roscoe will be closed Tuesday.

A Texas Department of Transportation contractor will close the lanes on I-20 between mile markers 237 and 239 near Roscoe for continued construction of the US Hwy 84E to I-20E direct connector bridge. The closure will be in the daytime only.

All eastbound main lanes will be closed as crews pour the bridge deck in a portion of the direct connector bridge.

During the work, traffic will detour onto the south frontage road at an exit detour ramp prior to exit 237, just east of FM 608. Traffic will stay on the south frontage road for approximately 2.5 miles and reconnect with I-20E at the entrance ramp near mile marker 239.

Additional time for commutes is suggested, as delays are possible. Drivers are asked to obey road and speed signs and be patient when driving in and near the work zone, especially during times of heavier traffic (morning commute). Watch for crews and equipment entering and exiting the work zone.
