CALLAHAN COUNTY, Texas — UPDATE (April 16): The Texas Department of Transportation says I-20 at US 283 in Baird is reopened after Monday and Tuesday's closures.
ORIGINAL STORY: Drivers on Interstate 20's main lanes and US Hwy 83 at Baird in Callahan County should expect to be detoured Monday and Tuesday because of bridge reconstruction.
The Texas Department of Transportation said the closures will happen from 3 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.
Traffic will be detoured to frontage roads as the bridge reconstruction continues.
TxDOT is asking drivers to use caution and patience when driving in the detour/work zone, obey road signs/speed limits, avoid distractions and watch for crews and equipment.
