Angelo State partners with Howard College and TGC Hunger Coalition for college hunger

SAN ANGELO, Texas — UPDATE (April 18): 

ORIGINAL STORY: Angelo State is hosting its third annual Outrun Student Hunger 2K Fun Run/Walk at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at the ASU Mayer Museum, 2501 W. Avenue N.

ASU, Howard College and the Tom Green County Hunger Coalition partnered to bring awareness to hunger faced by college students. The event is open to all students and the public. Attendees can enjoy a non-competitive fun run/walk starting at the Mayer Museum and ending at the Houston Harte University Center. The event ends with a free lunch and prize drawings.

The event is free, but donations of one or more non-perishable shelf-stable food items are encouraged. All donated food items will go to restock the shelves at the ASU Ram Pantry and Howard College food pantry, which provide food and toiletries to students in need.
