TEXAS, USA — There is a severe thunderstorm watch in effect for eastern portions of our viewing area until 4 a.m. Thursday.

Wednesday evening a line of severe thunderstorms will move through the FOX West Texas viewing area.  The main threat will be damaging winds, large hail, and I can't rule out an isolated tornado.

After midnight, the activity will be out of West Texas, and while there may be some scattered showers in eastern portions of our viewing area, but overall I'm expecting a calm Thursday evening.

Thursday afternoon into the evening there could be some storm redevelopment along the dry alone, so be sure to stay weather aware as there is a slight (2/5) risk for strong to severe thunderstorms. Any thunderstorms that do form could have large hail, damaging winds, and I can't rule out an isolated tornado.

The storm threat Thursday will very much depend on tonight's activity, so be sure to continue staying weather aware. Remember, the FOX West Texas mobile app is a great way to receive any weather related alerts.

Overall, I'm expecting our warm and active weather to continue across West Central Texas. I'm expecting daily chances for storms, and those who don't see thunderstorms can expect warm weather.
