Free family event to be held Saturday

Activities at the event include flag football and sand volleyball tournaments, as well as other activities.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — The Building Relationships Increasing Community Connections (B.R.I.C.C) will host a free family event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19 at The Bosque, 330 S. Irving St.

According to a B.R.I.C.C. press release, the event is to fulfill the mission of bringing unity to the San Angelo community.

The release also said the organization wants to build genuine relationships with each other and also to connect and build relationships with first responders.

The community will have free admission and will include events such as flag football and sand volleyball tournaments. 

Other activities at the event will include fishing. The City has waived the fishing license requirement for the event and the catfish have been placed in the river. The event will also have a DJ and live music as well as food.
