Taylor Co. COVID-19-related deaths rise to 235

ABILENE, Taylor County — The Abilene-Taylor County Health District confirmed three additional COVID-19-related deaths in Taylor County Friday.

The new deaths bring the total number of COVID-19-related deaths in Taylor County to 235.

The health district reported also 161 new confirmed COVID-19 cases - 102 PCR and 59 antigen.

One-hundred-seven new recoveries were included in the report, bringing the total number of recoveries to 10,178.

There were 132 total hospitalizations included in the report.

As of Jan. 15, there have been 44,784 PCR and 60,280 antigen tests administered in Taylor County. Of those tests, 5,926 PCR and 7,064 antigen tests were confirmed cases.

Additionally, 38,858 negative PCR and 53,216 negative antigen test results reported.
