EARLY, Texas — The Early Police Department says it did not find a credible threat Friday after the department received a call about a man with a gun on Turtle Creek Drive behind the Early Primary School building.

A caller told dispatch a man was at their house, refused to leave and had a gun. Because the house was so close to the school building, the school was notified to be placed on lockdown until the scene was secured as a precautionary measure.

EPD officers arrived within one minute of the call, secured the scene and determined it to be safe. The school was notified to return to normal status.

Officers determined there was not a threat to the school, the gun was never removed from a vehicle and it was only an argument between individuals.

No arrest were made, according to an EPD release.
