SAN ANGELO, Texas — Grape Creek VFD responded to a two-car crash at the intersection of Farm-to-Market Road 2105 and U.S. Highway 87 North after one driver failed to yield to the other, the department's public information officer Jose Rivera said.
Rivera reported minor injuries. He said the department responds to a major crash each month on average.
"Something needs to change...," Rivera said. "The citizens of Tom Green County and the State of Texas need to know that this is a dangerous intersection."
TXDOT officials said they plan to install traffic lights at the intersection. TXDOT plans to ask for bids from contractors by July 2026.
