HOUSTON — The University of Houston community is turning up its support for the Cougars as they look to take on the Miami Hurricanes in the Sweet 16.
Fans are hopeful the Coogs make it all the way to the championship game right here in Houston.
"I think we're all hoping for this win, bring it back to Houston, you know?" said UH student D'Aira Green.
Whether on-campus or not, fans are gearing up to show their love for the team.
"The Final Four is in Houston, they need the whole city to come out and support U of H," said Hollywood Cutting Up Barbershop Master Barber Dave Washington.
There's excitement building up around Coogs basketball, especially since they have a chance to win it all in their home city.
"Hometown team, it's very exciting," said UH student Luis Mendaez.
"I think they can do it, they're number one in the country, they can do it for sure. U of H all the way," Washing said. "Go Coogs!"
