NOLAN COUNTY, Texas — A contractor for the Texas Department of Transportation is closing main lanes of Interstate 20 westbound, just east of Roscoe on Friday, May 3.

The closure is part of continued construction of the US 84 to I-20 direct connector bridge and will be a daytime only closure, from approximately 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Drivers will be detoured from westbound I-20, toward US 84 westbound onto the service road, then westbound through Roscoe on Business 84 and Business 20, to reconnect with I-20 westbound main lanes west of Roscoe, near mile marker 235.

Additional drive time for commutes is suggested by TxDOT, as delays are possible. Drivers are asked to obey road/speed signs and be patient when driving in or near the work zone and through the detour - especially during times of heavier traffic (morning commute) - and to watch for crews and equipment entering and exiting the work zone.
