GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas — Goodfellow Air Force Base said in a press release Monday it is conducting an active shooter exercise this week.

Residents on or near the base may hear announcements over the “giant voice” system, hear sirens and see response vehicles during the drill. All assigned personnel, dependents and visitors are required to take appropriate actions, the release said.

Motorists could experience delays entering and exiting the installation during the exercise.

Anyone with appointments should arrive early, as well as call in advance to ensure appointments and services are not impacted by the exercise.
