ABILENE, Taylor County — The Abilene-Taylor County Health District reported seven additional COVID-19-related deaths in Taylor County Thursday, increasing the total number of COVID-19-related deaths in Taylor County to 97.
According to the health district the deaths were reported over the last 10 days. The patients were:
- a woman in her 70s with pre-existing health conditions
- a man in his 70s with pre-existing health conditions
- a man in his 70s with pre-existing health conditions
- a man in his 80s with pre-existing health conditions
- a man in his 80s with pre-existing health conditions
- a man in his 80s with pre-existing health conditions
- a male in his 90s, all with preexisting conditions.
The health district reported 143 new confirmed COVID-19 cases - 21 PCR and 122 antigen.
There were 77 recoveries were also reported, bringing the total number of recoveries to 4,343.
One-hundred-two total hospitalizations were included in the report.
There have been 29,917 PCR and 32,674 antigen tests administered in Taylor County, of which, 3,010 PCR and 3,734 antigen tests were confirmed cases.
Additionally, 26,907 negative PCR and 28,940 negative antigen test results reported.
